Geese
Season Length (all geese): 191 days.
Season Dates (all geese): September 1, 2023 – March 10, 2024.
Canada Geese
Daily Bag Limit: 6
Possession Limit: 18
White-fronted Geese
Daily Bag Limit: 2
Possession Limit: 6
Light Geese
Daily Bag Limit: 20 or the maximum amount federal regulations allow.
Note: A Conservation Order will also occur March 11, 2024 – May 1, 2024.
Possession Limit: No limit.
Ducks, Coots and Mergansers
Season Length (all ducks, coots, mergansers): 192 days.
Season Dates (all ducks, coots, mergansers): September 1, 2023 – March 10, 2024.
Ducks
Daily bag limit: The maximum amount federal regulations allow for each species or: 6 ducks comprised of no more than 5 mallards (which may include no more than 2 hens), 3 scaup, 3 wood ducks, 2 redheads, 1 pintail, 1 mottled duck, and 2 canvasback; 2 bonus blue-winged teal are allowed during October 7 – 22, 2023.
Possession limit: Three times the daily bag limit, taken according to the daily limit.
Merganser
Daily bag limit: 5 (only 2 may be a hooded merganser) and is separate from the duck bag limit.
Possession limit: Three times the daily bag limit.
Coot
Daily bag limit: 15 and is separate from the duck bag limit.
Possession limit: 45

Canada Geese
Season Length: 107 days.
Season Dates: October 28, 2023 – February 11, 2024
Daily Bag Limit: 6
Possession Limit: 18

Light Geese
Season Length: 107 days.
Season Dates: October 21, 2023 – February 4, 2024.

Little Bend Duck Hunting Ponds
The little bend ponds no longer require reservations or the fee that was associated with these ponds in the past. This is because the Artesian well that was used to maintain the pond levels and keep the water open year-round has collapsed and is no longer in service. The ponds
have been planted to corn and will still be flooded in early October. They will be open to any licensed individual on a first-come, first-serve basis.
